To create is an act of thankfulness…
Creativity is at the core of who we are as human beings. I’m not just talking about the Arts. You may not be drawn to draw, paint, dance or direct a film, but the truth is that YOU are creative, at your core. There is something that draws you, that tugs at you, that makes your countenance brighten and causes you to breathe a little easier.
And I’m convinced that it’s because you are an Image Bearer. By that, I mean that you were created in the image of your Creator God. He has planted within you a source of creativity that is as unique as you are.
It’s why we are each suited to different jobs.
It’s why we have occupations that range from musicians to technicians, teachers to engineers, and artists to athletes. It includes those who excel across these fields and beyond, as well as those who dabble for fun.
It’s why you are the way you are. It’s about what ignites the fire within you.
Pause for a moment and consider.
Do you like rearranging furniture – to create a haven out of a home?
Do you like weeding a garden – to create order out of chaos?
Do you like helping others – to create opportunities for rest?
Do you like spending time with friends – to create connections?
Do you like preparing a beautiful meal – to create a nutritious piece of art on a plate?
Working with accounts, cleaning, driving – every single one of these things, and so many more, can be linked back to a bent towards creativity. So what will you find here at Create? Well, I love words, I love art, I love design, and here you’ll find a combination of all three. A gallery of inspiration at your fingertips, as it were.
You’ll experience some of my first ventures into bringing different kinds of creativity into my blog, and see it morph over time to become what it is, today.
