Saturday 28 March. Today I’m thankful for a pancake brunch made ‘specially by our girls, just because! They (kind of) quietly took over the kitchen, followed a pancake recipe step by step (and even adapted it to gluten free, for me!), kept them the perfect temperature, pulled out our special table decor, laid it out in style and called us to join them. I actually mean it when I say that the final effect was a beautiful and heart-warming surprise!
Lockdown has affected so many things, and today I’m feeling so incredibly grateful for the chance to be together, even under these circumstances. I’m also thinking especially of those who can’t be together right now and never dreamt that would ever be the case, of families with loved ones working in essential businesses, and of those who are hold the fort at home. Praying peace, comfort and grace over each and every one of you. Please, please know that you are noticed, and (so very much) appreciated.
